Booking a table
The initial contact, booking, is often the first step for turning a restaurant visit into a memorable experience. Make sure you talk to a person responsible for table bookings. This information is important:
- date and time
- number of people
- mention children and their ages, especially if you require a child seat or have particular food requests
- other special requests
Booking for a larger number of people
When you book for a larger number of people, the restaurant also requires the following information:
- Dining a la carte or a set menu?
- Do you wish to have table decoration or a flower arrangement?
- Does each person pay individually or would you like everything on one bill?
Do not forget to leave your phone number and address so you can be reached in case of any questions.
Let the restaurant know about delays and cancellations
Should you be considerably delayed for whatever reason, please do not forget that a table is usually reserved for you for half an hour beyond the agreed time. If you phone the restaurant in advance about such a delay, the table will certainly be held longer.
If you are unable to visit the restaurant, it is important to cancel your booking. The restaurant will be grateful for your timely cancellation.
